There have been a few questions from readers regarding the CDROM that was mentioned in the Getting Started page and in the book's Preface. In early 2006, Prentice-Hall originally published two editions of my ASM book's 5th edition:

• ISBN 0132383101 had no CDROM: http://vig.prenhall.com/catalog/academic/product/0,1144,0132383101,00.html
• ISBN 0132304686 is bundled with a CDROM: http://vig.prenhall.com/catalog/academic/product/0,1144,0132304686,00.html

They have since upgraded the first version to the second one with the CDROM, but unfortunately some online bookstores are still selling old stock.

The book's example programs and libraries are available for download on this Web site. The CDROM only contains Visual C++ 2005 Express, which you can download for free anyway.
